Our new Scouting year has kicked off in style at our latest Pinewood Derby and family BBQ….plus a letter from Bear Grylls!
Our Scouts and Explorers joined 1000’s of others at this year’s international camp near Norwich. This takes place every 4 years and is an amazing event, with lots of great memories.
Our biggest Group Camp yet to celebrate our 50 years.
What a fabulous winning design to celebrate 50 years of Copmanthorpe Scout Group. We had over 220 happy people tasting it whilst taking a break from our Generation Game Team Challenge.
Our teams had a great time racing our new pedal karts in Manchester.
Fabulous birds eye view of our Group parading in style at the Founders Day Parade in York City Centre, possibly the largest Scout parade in the country.
We had a great time joining in with 1000s of Cub Scouts at the national Fun Day in the grounds of Gilwell in London.
Thanks to everyone who helped us clear the overgrown area near School to create a new planting area for our community. Lots of passers-by were really appreciative. Hopefully lots of pretty plants will now grow there in the coming years.
Our Eagles football team won the District Cubs Plate Competition, and keep the brass plate for a year. Thanks to everyone who took part, cheered us on, or helped with referee or score keeping duties.
Thanks to help from some local artists and adult volunteers, our young people have created a fantastic series of art murals for our Scout Hall. We have a wall depicting our Scouting Values, a wall capturing historic moments in our Group’s last 50 years and a tree representing progressive development through our age groups.
