28/04/2019St Georges Day ParadeDear all, St Georges Day Parade this year is on Sunday 28th April 2019. Beavers are to assemble in full uniform at 1:15pm by the South African War Memorial on Duncombe Place (opposite the Dean Court Hotel). We will then enter the Minster around 1:20pm. We will be leaving York Minster at approximately 3:30pm and parading with the Cubs and Scouts to the Eye of York (grassed area by the Castle Museum). For parents and families who wish to watch the procession it leaves the Minster for the Eye of York via Duncombe Place, Blake Street, Davygate, Parliament Street, High Ousegate, Nessgate, Clifford Street, Tower Street and in to the Eye of York. Beavers can be collected from the Eye of York at the end of the parade at approximately 4:00pm. This is the only place from which the Beavers can be collected. No Beavers should leave without checking with a Leader first. There may be a short delay if we get opportunity to take a Group photo before we leave. It is important that we look smart for the parade as we are representing Copmanthorpe & Scouting. Please help by ensuring Beaver Scouts are wearing the correct uniform: Official Beaver Jumper with all badges sewn on in the correct position. Clean, ironed & rolled maroon & white Group necker with woggle. Scout Association blue activity trousers (or smart school trousers), Black shoes (NOT trainers) If weather is bad this event still takes place. However the wearing of coats is not considered part of the uniform (not my rules). If needs be, wear an extra t-shirt under to keep warm. There will be a voluntary collection on the way into the Minister for good causes. This is one occasion in the calendar we ask for ALL the Beavers to attend; if your child cannot make the event please let a Leader know with supporting reason as to why they can not attend. Thanks for your support on this important Scouting occasion, which we hope everyone can attend. Nikki, Al & all the Leadership Team Uniform required: Full Minibus being laid on: No If you cannot attend please email copbeavers@gmail.com Badge locations: https://drive.google.com/open?id=137ouXWkOfRLY7HnT0ziiH9QEsuogiZuB
